In the Bible’s most extended mediation on the benefits of reading and meditating on God’s word, Psalm 119, the psalmist writes, “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law” (v.18). The assumption is that there are wonderful things to be seen in God’s word. Thus, if wonders are to be seen and beheld, then one be in God’s word. There’s no better way to be in God’s word than having a plan to do so.
